I am writing this letter to express my appreciation for what my personal trainer Bart Goodell has done for me during the past four years. I had back pain, as well as a frozen shoulder for years. The shoulder was so painful that I woke up at nights. Bart utilized specific exercises at different staged of my training to slowly strengthen shoulder muscle groups to a point that I am now moving my shoulder in ways I was not able in years. The shoulder pain is completely gone. The same is true for back pain. Bart is extremely personable and encouraging throughout this process. He encourages me to push myself but never to a point that I feel discouraged or inadequate. He genuinely cares about what he does and wants me to be a healthier person.

Bart is an excellent trainer. I've had one before so I thought I had a good idea of what to expect. Bart has exceeded my expectations. Bart is more than just counting reps or pushing me to work harder. He has provided me with several strategies to help me achieve my health goals.
The first thing Bart had me do was assess my metabolism with a questionaire and a face-to-face consultation. After that we worked on exercises and making changes in my diet. He has a lot of great information and I've seen results within a week. Bart is really friendly and the time I spend with him just breezes by. I definitely have a good sweat going on and feel like I better understand my body. Bart knows the physiological reasons and I find it quite interesting his explanations of what he teaches me.
I would absolutely recommend anyone who wants achieve goals and improve performance in a sport, or overcoming an injury. Bart is excellent.

Bart is the most knowledgeable and helpful trainer imaginable. With remarkable intuition for mechanics and healing, he has helped me rehabilitate both elbows (one after a break), a shoulder and an achilles, and through 2 years of increasingly intense workouts I have not injured myself once - my injuries were from other activities and accidents. One reason I wanted to work with him in the first place was my propensity to hurt myself as soon as I started pushing harder, and he finds the perfect blend of strength training and intensity to keep me progressing. I have been working with Bart for about 3 years and give him my highest recommendation. He is excellent at designing work-outs appropriate for my age (60) and level of conditioning.
